Where to eat and drink in Ibiza Town: Out of Time

A cafè restaurant with great character and charm, right in Plaza del Parque, one of the 'meeting places' of Ibiza just one step away from the ancient walls of Dalt Vila.

In the old center of Ibiza Town, there is certainly no shortage of options in terms of bars and restaurants, but if you are looking for quality and genuine products you got to find the right spot, perhaps with the help of some advice from those who live and know the island.

One of the favourite walking areas, also for the residents, is the area that includes Vara del rey, “Ibiza's boulevard” and the adjacent Plaza del Parque, a lively corner of the bustling downtown yet quieter than La Marina or areas known for nightlife, such as Playa d'en Bossa.

Here, among the dozens of cafes and restaurants, Out of Time is a great choice if you want to sit at a table outdoor and watch the world go by.

The venue opened in 2004, and is run with enthusiasm, lots of ideas and great cordiality by Toni and Silvia.

The story of the building which hosts it, is fascinating: 30 years ago the place was a bookstore specialized in publications about esotericism and magic.

Possibly that's what drew the attention of the owner, Toni, a big astrology enthusiast who also holds classes and workshops on the topic in the upstairs rooms.

Equally strong is his love for music, which is played as a constant background selected with great taste and competence, making the experience here even more enjoyable.

The ambience is therefore just right, in order to enjoy the quiet and healthy side of a city that, despite the tourist invasion, does not give up relaxed pace and quality of life.

People come over at Out of time to stay healthy and to taste the natural products of the cuisine offered: vegetarian, vegan and macrobiotic.

All proposals of menu focus on quality without compromise, with exclusive use of fresh and organic ingredients.

Local fruits and vegetables, mostly raw, underlie most of the dishes and beverages.

The skilled staff in the kitchen, is engaged on a daily basis in the preparation of homemade products, from bread to desserts.

A must try. We did it and we're already regulars!
